Ryan Graves is a former U.S. Navy F/A-18 pilot who has described near-daily encounters with unidentified aerial objects by his squadron off the Virginia coast during 2014 and 2015, encounters that overlap with the incidents later associated with the Gimbal Video and GoFast Video.
Advocacy
Graves testified at the 2023 Congressional UAP Hearing and founded Americans for Safe Aerospace, an organization focused on aviation safety risks posed by UAP and on supporting military and commercial pilots who wish to report encounters without professional stigma.
Assessment
Graves is regarded by mainstream aviation-safety commentators as a credible advocate whose primary concern — flight safety given unidentified objects in controlled airspace — is treated seriously by the FAA and Navy independent of the broader extraterrestrial question.
