Mick West is a retired British-American video game programmer whose forum, Metabunk, has become one of the most widely cited sources for detailed technical debunking analysis of viral UFO videos and photographs, including his influential parallax-based analysis of the GoFast Video and optical-artifact analysis of the Gimbal Video.
Assessment
West’s technical, math-based approach has earned him respect even from some UAP researchers as a rigorous check on overclaiming, though his conclusions on specific high-profile cases are frequently disputed by proponents such as Kevin Knuth and advocacy figures who argue his analyses do not fully account for all available witness and sensor data.
