Leslie Kean is an American investigative journalist who, alongside Ralph Blumenthal and Helene Cooper, authored the December 2017 New York Times report described in the New York Times Pentagon UFO Story, which revealed the existence of AATIP and published the Gimbal Video for the first time.
Assessment
Kean’s earlier 2010 book on the subject had already established her as one of the more methodologically careful mainstream journalists covering UAP, generally favoring a case-by-case documentary approach over speculative theorizing.
