| Location | Varginha, Minas Gerais, Brazil |
| Type | Crash / Entity encounter |
| Status | Unexplained / Disputed |
Multiple residents of the city of Varginha reported encountering one or more small, foul-smelling, brown-skinned creatures with red eyes shortly after locals reported a falling object; rumors, never officially confirmed, describe subsequent military involvement in capturing the creature(s) and recovering craft debris.
Assessment
The Brazilian military has never formally confirmed a UFO-related recovery operation, and skeptics have proposed the creature sightings involved an unusually marked, possibly diseased native animal (such as a maned wolf) misperceived amid the excitement of contemporaneous, unrelated rumors; witness testimony from firefighters and residents involved in the initial creature encounter remains a subject of active dispute.
