| Key witness | Stefan Michalak |
| Status | Unexplained |
Amateur prospector Stefan Michalak reported encountering two landed, disc-shaped craft, one of which burned him through his clothing when he approached and touched its exhaust grate; he developed a grid-pattern burn pattern on his abdomen and later medical complications consistent with radiation-like exposure, according to examining physicians.
Assessment
A Canadian Department of National Defence investigation found soil radioactivity at the site elevated above background levels, though within a range some later reviewers considered inconclusive; the case is widely regarded, including by government investigators at the time, as one of the best-documented physical-evidence UFO cases in Canadian history, and it remains formally unexplained.
