Crew aboard the USS Omaha reported observing and tracking a small spherical object that approached and circled the ship for a period before appearing to descend into the ocean, an encounter reported alongside contemporaneous drone-swarm reports off the California coast in mid-2019.
Assessment
The Department of Defense confirmed the authenticity of associated video, but as with the related 2019 ‘Pyramid’ UAP Videos, no conventional identification of the object has been made public. The case is included among a cluster of 2019 California-coast naval encounters now under review by AARO.
