| Location | near Huffman, Texas, U.S. |
| Type | Injury / Close encounter |
| Investigation | |
| Key witnesses | Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum, Colby Landrum |
| Status | Unexplained |
Three motorists reported a diamond-shaped object emitting flame and heat over a rural road, escorted by numerous military helicopters; all three developed symptoms consistent with radiation exposure, including hair loss, skin lesions, and lasting health complications, with Betty Cash requiring hospitalization.
Assessment
The witnesses sued the U.S. government for damages, but the case was dismissed after the Army, Air Force, and other agencies stated under oath they had no record of any such aircraft or helicopters operating in the area that night; the severity and specificity of the witnesses’ medical symptoms have made this one of the most substantively documented physical-injury UFO cases, and it remains formally unresolved.
