Robert Hastings is an independent researcher and author who has interviewed dozens of retired U.S. Air Force personnel describing UFO sightings at nuclear missile and weapons-storage facilities, compiling this material into a widely cited book and public lecture series.
Assessment
While Hastings has not personally witnessed such events, his interview-based research is frequently cited by other investigators of cases such as the Malmstrom AFB Incident and the 1975 US Air Force Base Sightings Wave, and several of the veterans he interviewed have since testified publicly themselves, lending his compiled accounts additional weight even as the underlying phenomenon remains unexplained.
