These are among the most recent records in PURSUE. In 2026, U.S. government special agents and members of the public in the western United States described several incidents to the FBI: “slow-moving objects” filmed by an agent with a hand-held thermal imager at about 4 p.m.; a “thermally elevated aerial object” seen by another agent at about 9 p.m.; and two separate accounts of “multiple red lights,” including one person who reported three incidents in five hours.[1]

Analysis
Possible explanations. In a “black-hot” thermal display, warmer objects appear dark; two slow, warm objects in daytime (PR007) could be birds, drones or balloons, and the clip has no range data to tell them apart. Multiple red lights at night are a common description of drones, aircraft anti-collision lights, or a series of flares. Since the 2023 Western U.S. Event and the late-2025 test-installation orbs also involved federal agents in the West, it is possible these reports are part of continuing activity near sensitive sites, but PURSUE does not say so.
