PURSUE Release 03 (June 12, 2026)

Overview of the third tranche of UAP records released by the Department of War under PURSUE
⚠ Note on validity: PURSUE files are cases the government calls unresolved: it could not reach a definitive conclusion, often because of limited data. “Unresolved” does not mean “anomalous,” and historical records are included for context whether or not they were resolved at the time.

Overall assessment

Assessment. The Western U.S. Event, which AARO calls “among the most compelling” cases it holds, is the centerpiece, though it rests on testimony without sensor data. The Colorado Springs case includes one of the few official explanations in PURSUE (sunlight reflected from snow onto clouds, assessed with low confidence). Most CIA items were already on CIA’s website in more redacted form.
