Former National Reconnaissance Office and AARO official David Grusch gave a formal complaint to the intelligence community inspector general and subsequent media interviews and congressional testimony alleging that the U.S. government has operated a decades-long “UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program” involving multiple non-human craft and, according to Grusch, biological remains.
Assessment
Grusch has stated he has not personally seen physical evidence of craft or remains, relying instead on interviews with others he described as having such access. AARO’s 2024 AARO Historical Record Report (Volume I) directly investigated these claims and found no verifiable evidence corroborating the existence of any such program, a conclusion Grusch and his supporters have disputed as incomplete.
