Rumors, later amplified by UFO researchers and some retired military sources, describe a Mexican Air Force recovery of a crashed disc-shaped craft near the town of Coyame, allegedly followed by a strict, decades-long information blackout.
Assessment
No Mexican government agency has ever confirmed the incident, and no primary documentation, photograph, or named on-record witness has surfaced despite decades of researcher interest; the case is generally treated as an unverified rumor rather than a documented event, though it continues to circulate in secondary UFO literature.
