Naval personnel filming a routine flight exercise near El Bosque air base captured infrared footage of an unidentified object performing maneuvers alongside a training aircraft, footage the Chilean government’s official UFO committee formally reviewed and released.
Assessment
SEFAA’s technical review, including consultation with international video analysts, was unable to identify the object as any known aircraft, balloon, or optical artifact, and Chile’s formal, public acknowledgment of the case as genuinely unresolved is considered unusually direct for a government body; the case remains a frequently cited example of credible, officially validated video evidence.
