Jay Stratton is a career U.S. intelligence officer who served as the inaugural director of the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force (UAPTF) following its creation in 2020, overseeing the office’s early efforts to standardize military UAP reporting.
Assessment
Stratton’s tenure predates the broader public attention that followed the 2021 ODNI Preliminary Assessment and the later creation of AARO, and he has maintained a comparatively low public profile relative to his UAPTF successors.
