Jesse Marcel Jr. was an American physician who, as an 11-year-old child in 1947, reportedly examined debris material his father Jesse Marcel brought home briefly before returning it to Roswell Army Air Field, and who spoke publicly about this childhood memory for decades afterward.
Assessment
As a childhood witness recalling events many decades later, Marcel Jr.’s account is treated by researchers as a valuable but inherently secondhand and memory-dependent data point rather than an independent adult observation.
