Lonnie Zamora was a Socorro, New Mexico police officer whose April 1964 report of an egg-shaped object with two humanoid figures nearby, detailed in the Socorro Incident, was corroborated by physical burn marks and four indentations found at the site matching his description.
Assessment
Zamora’s professional standing, the physical ground traces, and the case’s swift, high-level Air Force investigation combine to make it one of the most consistently cited “best evidence” cases even among generally skeptical ufologists, and it remains officially classified as unexplained.
