Stanton Friedman was an American-Canadian nuclear physicist who left conventional aerospace research in the 1970s to become one of the most prominent full-time UFO researchers and public lecturers of his generation, playing a central role in reviving public interest in the Roswell incident.
Assessment
Friedman’s scientific training was genuine and often cited by supporters as lending credibility to his research methods, though his ultimate conclusion that Roswell involved recovery of an actual extraterrestrial craft remains rejected by the official Air Force explanations and by many mainstream historians of the case, including Karl Pflock, who investigated the same case and reached more skeptical conclusions.
